Charlie Verified Buyer October 23, 2023 Not worth the money, I took the SOVA today and it was SUBSTANTIALLY more difficult than what this guide had prepared me for. Numerical section of the guide is particularly dissimilar to the SOVA, with no graph, chart or table questions included in the guide. 5. Alejandra Verified Buyer October 23, 2023 Indispensable for independent study! It is a really nice course and working through the exercises is kinda fun. Some parts reminded me of the GMAT others are either more personality focused or business centric. 6. Sova is used mainly by Bain’s offices in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa; Bain handles Sova adjustments through its EMEA talent team. How long is the Bain Sova test? Bain says the assessment takes about 30 to 40 minutes, with a deadline in your invitation email. You don’t have to finish Sova in one sitting, but every section must be done before the deadline. Can I use a calculator? Yes. Bain allows pen, paper, and a calculator in the online assessment (not in later interviews). AI tools, recordings, and help from anyone else are prohibited. Does it prepare me for TestGorilla? Partly. The numerical and logical sets train skills TestGorilla also tests, but the guide is written for Sova, and TestGorilla adds business-judgment and people-management sections. Start with the free [TestGorilla guide](https://strategycase.com/bain-testgorilla/). Is it up to date? The guide is version 4 from December 2023. Bain’s 2026 assessment page still describes the same setup: Sova or TestGorilla, about 30 to 40 minutes, calculator allowed. Updates are free for a year after purchase. How long do I have access? 1 year to the practice questions. The PDF guide is yours to keep. What if it’s not right for me?
