1. The Arithmetic Case Interview Practice Tool
As a case interviewer, I've observed almost every case interview candidate grappling with performing quick, accurate calculations under pressure. These situations can be nerve-wracking and significantly affect a candidate's performance, even though their mathematical ability is usually beyond reproach in less stressful scenarios.
Recognizing this common challenge, we developed this simple but effective tool to offer candidates a unique, interactive platform to practice their mental math skills. The tool's purpose is not just to enhance speed and precision but also to foster confidence in dealing with numbers in high-pressure, real-time settings similar to actual case interviews.
The tool allows you to customize the type of arithmetic operations and the range of numbers you want to practice with, all under a timer. With consistent practice, you can significantly improve your agility with numbers and be better equipped to handle calculations during case interviews.
Remember, the key to success is practice and familiarity, so use this tool regularly to become comfortable with on-the-spot calculations. I would recommend you spend at least 20 minutes every day with this tool during your case interview preparation.
Let it aid you in your journey to becoming more proficient and confident in handling numbers during your consulting case interviews.
